Specific language impairment (SLI) is a probably geneticdisorder that affects language development in the absenceof neurological, sensory, mental and/or psychiatric disor-ders. The most common early manifestation is absence oflanguage followed by a slow development and partial reco-very in some language areas and persistence of deficits inothers. Remarkable is a sub-group of children with specifi-cally impaired written language and a receptive and expres-sive grammatical deficit called G-SLI.
